A YouTube Holiday 2020

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone’s participation, this year’s holiday collab video is now live. Enjoy!

2020 may have been a crazy year, but that’s certainly not going to stop me from following through with my annual tradition in getting the YouTube community together for a holiday collaboration video. Last year’s collab video (watch it here) was a huge success, and I would love to see it happen again — especially considering everything we’ve been through this year.

Participating in “A YouTube Holiday 2020” is very easy! All you need to do is record a video of yourself (preferably a duration of 60 seconds or less) talking about one of the following topics:

  • Something you’re especially thankful for this year

  • A new Christmas tradition you’ve recently started

  • One thing you wish to improve about yourself in 2021

As always, consistency when collaborating is important. When recording your video, please keep the following in mind:

  • Videos must be in landscape (horizontal) orientation

  • No background music is allowed, as I will be providing the soundtrack

  • Try to record in a quiet, distraction-free environment

  • 720p video is the minimum resolution, but 1080p is recommended

  • Do not include titles, lower-thirds or text of any kind in your video

Once your clip is recorded, upload it to Dropbox (sign up for free here) and provide your download URL in the form below. If you need help with this, please feel free to ask. You can contact me here and via Twitter.

The final video will be published on my YouTube channel on the night of Christmas Eve. I’m excited to see everyone’s submission. Good luck and have fun!

IMPORTANT: All videos must be submitted by Tuesday, December 22.
