Patreon Update: April 2016
Welcome to my Patreon Update for April 2016. This is my monthly report of how my Patreon campaign is performing, as well as my chance to thank everyone for their ongoing support.
As always, let's get started with last month's earnings. Below you can see my transparency report regarding all the pledges that were received and processed for March.
March 2016 Earnings
Transitioning from February into March saw a nice little increase in overall earnings For those keeping track, below are the latest numbers:
- Pledged: $2,408.00
- Service Fees: $277.75
- Processed: $2,130.25
Considering earnings for March are higher than February's, I think it's pretty safe to assume that my Patreon campaign has been doing quite well. And that makes me very happy.
This increase in performance is partly in thanks to the release of my Exclusive Vlogs Trailer, which went live a little over a month ago. The introduction of this trailer really helped pique interest and converted a good number of new patrons. If that includes you, then welcome aboard!
Of course, I'm not just going to promote the exclusive vlogs trailer on YouTube and forget about it. I've already uploaded the same video to Facebook, and I am not stopping there. With a major redesign of my personal website coming up, Patreon is going to be a large focus — and that includes additional promotion of the trailer.
I'll talk about the upcoming changes to my website when it comes time to launch, which shouldn't be too long from now. Believe me, it's going to be huge.
Speaking in regards to my actual Patreon profile page, there is one minor change that could produce some interesting results for anyone who participates. Patrons who pledge $25+ now have the perk of advertising any link of their choice at the top of my profile.
This new perk is not only beneficial for receiving more clicks to your website, but major search engines treat this method as a quality backlink. In other words, websites linked on my Patreon profile are likely to rank higher on Google, Bing, etc.
Boom! How awesome is that?
$25+ Pledge Promotions
Every month I promote websites and/or services ran by those who are kind enough to pledge within the $25+ tier. Please take a moment to review anything below that you may find interesting:
Joel Shaw: Web Developer | Graphic Designer
Lamber Goodnow Chicago | Nationwide Personal Injury Practice
