Welcome Home

It has already been more than two years since I migrated thecreativeone.tv to Squarespace. About one year later, I decided to turn the site into a social blog, which eventually matured into what many of you know as TekSocial. TekSocial has been my primary project for a while now, and it will continue to be that way for many years to come. It eventually came time to separate myself from the site and begin my own personal blog. I wanted a domain that I could call my own, hence my decision to move over to WordPress. Then problems occurred.

To make a long story short, my WordPress installation ran into some serious issues after I decided to change its primary domain. Little did I know, this would force my site to go offline and become impossible to reach. After hours of research and the incapability of logging into my own site, I decided to let it go and concentrate on other things. I told myself, come 2011, my personal site would relaunch via Squarespace. And here I am.

I should have stuck with Squarespace from the very beginning. I like to think of it as Mac OS. Things just work the way they should; for the most part. If I want to map a new primary domain, it does it for me. There is no need to change database values or anything like that. While I do enjoy tinkering behind the scenes, I simply don't need that kind of frustration for this website. I'll leave that up to another project I have in mind, which I will hopefully be announcing soon.

Anyway, with all that said, I'm just glad to be back. Expect blog posts at random intervals, as I am not a scheduled type of person when it comes to publishing articles. This site also acts as my digital portfolio, which is why difrancomedia.com now auto forwards here. You can view my graphic design work, web design projects, as well as some photography shots that I am proud of, by going to the Portfolio page.

There are more pages to the site, but I'll leave that up to you to discover. As always, I encourage you to contact me with questions and/or feedback. I look forward to providing plenty of content that hopefully many of you will find enjoyable. Here's to 2011!
